The pavement is his pulpit.
Evangelist Trymore Muparinga is one of Zimbabwe's most recognisable street preachers. For years he has taken the gospel to the corner of First Street and Speke Avenue in the heart of Harare's central business district, preaching under the sun and the rain to commuters, vendors and passers-by with no stage and no sound system — just a voice, a Bible and an extraordinary gift for holding a crowd.
What sets him apart is his style. Muparinga blends humour, drama, satire and deep biblical insight, delivering sermons that often feel closer to stand-up comedy before landing on a serious spiritual point. The approach has won him a devoted following on the streets and a large online audience, and has taken him well beyond Harare: he has preached to members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, spoken as guest speaker at Christian Fellowship International's annual conference, and been named among the preachers at the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe's Masvingo North Circuit Mega Crusade, held in September and October 2026 under the theme "Do It Again Lord."
On Dare Remachinda he is a regular panellist and one of the faces of the Mutare and South Africa editions, bringing the same street-level honesty and humour to conversations about money, relationships and character.
(No verbatim public quote is included for this profile — see report: the widely circulated lines attributed to Evangelist Muparinga appear only inside coverage of a separate gift-and-dispute story, which is material this page is deliberately not drawing on.)
